π Autonomous Shuttle
Since March 9, a pilot autonomous shuttle has been running on the Meyrin site, replacing Bus Line 1 for internal campus transport. This project is a step toward safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility on campus.
What is the Autonomous Shuttle?
A 100% electric, self-driving vehicle designed to provide safe, sustainable, and efficient campus mobility.
How it Works:
- Operates on a defined campus route
- Fully electric and eco-friendly β‘
- Equipped with sensors to detect surroundings and navigate safely π§
- Operates at a low speed (30 km/h) for passenger safety π‘οΈ
Safety Measures:
- A safety driver is onboard during the pilot phase π€
- The shuttle can automatically stop if an obstacle is detected π
- Continuous monitoring ensures a secure ride ποΈ
